A new report about Joba as a starter from a Sunday phone interview with Hank Steinbrenner includes Hank being quoted as saying, "Michael Giltz, Section 39, Row FF, Seat 4 is a complete idiot!" Or something like that...
Kudos to Cashman for standing up to The Boss Lite:
"Joba's staying in the bullpen right now, that's where we're at. [Putting him in the rotation is] not something that's going to happen here early on, and [Hank] knows that. We've talked about it. I don't know what set him off."
Nothing would make me prouder.
