Paul Simon's tribute in the New York Times is great. And here is Billy Crystal's essay on his memories of Yankee Stadium. You'll also find links to pieces by everyone from George Steinbrenner to Henry Kissinger there.

I watched last night on ESPN with most of America. They gave a nice shout out to Section 39 and for the most part I thought the ceremony was great.
However... after the game I lost a lot of respect for Bobby Abreu. He looked like a total douche-bag hamming it up for the cameras trying to get his mug in every photo. You would have thought that they Yankees just won the world series, not that it was the end of an era.
The real highlight of the ESPN coverage was when Whitey Ford and Yogi were in the booth.
Sure they're in their 80's now, but was great listening to their stories. At one point Andy gave up a single up the middle and you heard Whitey say, "Oh Sh..." before catching himself.
So many great memories... and just from the last game!
Spike Lee in section 39 for roll call, our banquet meal in the bleachers, Leyritz hanging out with the cops in front of sections 39 & 41 for the last 3 innings, a festive crowd, a fun Yankee win, and Justice Water on the train ride home!
Farewell Yankee Stadium. You'll always have a special place in my heart and you always felt like home.
