The day the music died...

Why, Alex, why??? As if he didn't have enough problems...now he's going to be lumped in with Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, Canseco, Palmeiro, and the rest of this generation's cheaters. I never pegged A-Rod as the sort to do this and the tell-tale signs weren't there either. Very disappointing and probably is the last straw for anyone like myself that had steadfastly defended him to this point.

So what do you think? Will this keep him out of the HOF like it will for the names above?

Alex made the right call today in fessing up. If he's telling the truth I am glad to see some honesty on the part of the cheaters who have taken the record book by storm. Doesn't make it right, and doesn't excuse past behavior, but admitting it and apologizing for it makes it a lot easier for fans such as myself to forgive and move on (though we won't ever forget).

OMG, Alex did NOT fess up. He got caught red-handed and held a press conference to do damage control where he tried lamely to admit as little as possible and claim it was all long ago. How is that honesty? To get caught and grudgingly admit to ONLY the details on which you've been nailed? Move on? Why? What price has he paid? A press conference? Big deal.
